Job Description – Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Designation - Manager/Sr Manager

Preferred Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems in an ERP environment to support decision-making and cost control.

1. Analyze and track production and project costs including raw materials, labor, and overheads.

1. Perform product costing and pricing.

1. Manage site payables and lead monthly/yearly closing activities.

1. Assist in budgeting and forecasting by preparing cost and revenue projections.

1. Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and areas of concern.

1. Monitor and reconcile inventory levels for accuracy.

1. Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to obtain data and resolve discrepancies.

1. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

1. Provide management with financial reports and cost analysis for decision-making.

1. Continuously improve processes for better efficiency and accuracy.

1. Link financial performance to BU KPIs and provide periodic analysis.

1. Demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing operations, and cost accounting techniques.

1. Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

1. Ensure timely and accurate completion of cost audits across the group.
