Job Summary:

The Sr. Supervisor – Civil is responsible for supervising and coordinating all civil construction activities on-site. This role ensures that the work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and within scheduled timelines. The Senior Supervisor is also responsible for labor management, site safety, daily progress reporting, and coordination with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the site.

• Interpret and execute work based on drawings, structural plans, and specifications.

• Coordinate with site engineers and contractors to ensure timely progress.

• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship; implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

• Manage and guide site workers, subcontractors, and labor contractors.

• Track work progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports (DPR).

• Inspect formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, finishing, etc.

• Verify measurements and quantities for billing and estimation.

• Maintain stock of materials and ensure proper utilization.

• Identify and resolve on-site issues related to manpower, material, or machinery.

• Participate in site audits, inspections, and compliance activities.

• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics for timely material delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory)

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience:

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in civil construction supervision.

• Proven experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and sequences.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD (basic), MS Office, and construction reports.

• Understanding of site safety, quality control, and construction laws/regulations.
