Job Description:

About the Role: Assistant Factory Manager should be efficient in production
management and meet customer timelines for delivery. Maintain machine
maintenance schedules, manage factory man power efficiently including the
discipline, attendance and productivity. Ensure that procedures of ISO standards are
followed as per accordance with the company policies and maintain quality
throughout the production with association with the quality control team.
Key Responsibilities
To oversee all factory operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality
standards, managing manpower, machinery maintenance and ensuring timely
delivery of production targets within cost, quality and safety norms.
Production Management:
 Plan, schedule and manage production to meet customer demands.
 Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions when needed.
 Able to handle manpower for fabrication jobs.
 Should know to manage 80 to 100 people at a time & give them fabrication
work.
 Should be able to implement a systematic work flow in fabrication jobs like in
automobile industry.
Quality Control
 Implement and maintain quality standards as per company policies.
 Coordinate with the QC team to reduce rework and rejection.
 Ensure adherence to ISO/ Industry standards.
Manpower Management:
 Supervise and guide department heads, operators and workers.
 Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity.
 Coordinate training of shop floor employees.
 Coordinate with other departments like QC, Stores, Purchase, HR and Sales
for smooth operations.
Maintenance Management:
 Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed.

 Minimize machine downtime and breakdowns.
Purchase management/ General:
 To coordinate with the purchase department to purchase the raw materials as
per BOM of each order.
 To overlook and check if the storekeeper is managing the store well.
 To shuffle the labor across different departments as per workload.
 To overlook and check if all the departments are working properly.
 To monitor the scrap material and send it to scrap dealer.
 To coordinate with the design team if any changes in drawing, dimensions or
BOM.
 Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage.
Key Skills
 Leadership and team management.
 Problem-solving and analytical skills.
 Good communication and reporting ability.
 Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen will be an added
advantage.
 Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or
relevant field.
10+ years of experience in fabrication engineering set up.
Should have managed 80-100 people in a fabrication shop floor.
Desired Attributes
 Proactive, with ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
 Experience with ERP software will be added advantage.
 Strong ethics and commitment to compliance.
 Experience- Minimum 12-15 years
 Proficient with MS Office.
 Gender- Male
