Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Accounts to lead our accounts function in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in managing large-scale accounts, taxation, and financial planning, with prior exposure to infrastructure businesses and handling books of companies with a turnover exceeding 1000 Cr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounts team, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.
  • Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements, MIS, and consolidated reports.
  • Manage direct and indirect taxation, including compliance, assessments, and strategic tax planning.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure statutory compliance under Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other applicable laws.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders for audit coordination and ensure smooth statutory and internal audits.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management on cost control, working capital optimisation, and profitability.
  • Implement robust systems, controls, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Contribute financial expertise to renewable energy projects, ensuring proper accounting treatment and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • CA / CMA with 7–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably from a Big 4 or reputed Accounting Firm background.
  • Strong experience handling accounts of large-scale companies (1000 Cr+ turnover).
  • Exposure to infrastructure and renewable energy sectors is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation (direct & indirect), and corporate laws.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring accounts teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
