Essential Responsibilities / Skillsets

  • Fixed asset accounting & reporting - Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close related to fixed assets.
  • Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger.
  • Monitor capital project costs and ensure timely capitalization in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies (e.g., IFRS/GAAP), and external audit requirements.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance team capability.
  • Experience in transition projects; ability to handle transition-related challenges
  • Client-facing role – lead calls, act as operational point of contact.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the fixed asset lifecycle and related accounting processes.
  • Handle or escalate client issues and suggest resolutions.
 

Requirements

Essential

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
  2. 5–9 years’ experience in Fixed assets accounting and management.(Incl. Internship experience)
  3. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Desirable

  1. Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities.
  2. Exposure to cross-functional team management.

Optional

  1. Master’s degree (Finance/Business Admin) or CA Inter.
  2. Industry accounting experience.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Solid grasp of accounting concepts and ability to coach juniors.
  • Communication: Confidently lead client close calls.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Leadership: Not formally required, but mentoring responsibility implies some informal leadership.
  • Attention to Detail: Must have high accuracy and quality in work and in reviewing peers’ work.

 

Mandate :

  • Candidate should be ready to work in US shift – 6 PM to 3 AM
  • Work Location: Bangalore
  • Mode of Work: WFH (Will have to come to office once in a quarter for a week at own cost)
  • Preferably candidates from Retail projects (preferably Restaurant projects)
  • Excellent English communication (Will interact with customers directly and handle escalations)
  • Core expertise in fixed assets in retail industry
