Job Description:
A Weighbridge Operator manages the weighing process for incoming and outgoing vehicles, ensuring accurate weight measurement, compliance with regulations, and proper documentation. Key responsibilities include operating the weighbridge system, recording weight data into computer systems, verifying load documentation, issuing tickets or certificates, performing routine equipment maintenance and safety checks, and communicating with drivers and logistics staff to maintain smooth operations and inventory control. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Weighing & Documentation:Operate the weighbridge to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles. Record and process all weight data, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to digital or manual records.

Compliance & Verification:Verify load documentation and ensure that vehicles and loads comply with weight regulations to prevent overloading.

Record Keeping:Maintain detailed and accurate records of all weighing transactions and compile daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management review.

Equipment Maintenance:Conduct routine inspections of the weighbridge equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.

Communication:Liaise with drivers, site personnel, and logistics staff to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and coordination of deliveries and dispatches.

Safety & Housekeeping:Ensure the safety of the weighbridge area and surrounding operations, maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
