Job Title: Legal Head – GM / VP

Job Summary

The Legal Head will be responsible for overseeing all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters of the organization. This role requires deep expertise in litigation across multiple forums, strong leadership in handling external legal counsel, and the ability to provide strategic legal guidance to the management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all litigation matters including NCLT, Arbitration, Consumer Cases, Criminal Complaints, Civil Recovery suits, Injunctions, Declarations, Damages, Commercial Suits, Partition, Execution, Eviction suits, and related proceedings.

• Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and statutory authorities, or manage and coordinate with external legal counsel.

• Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, contracts, legal notices, and responses.

• Advise management and business teams on potential legal risks and mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Handle due diligence, legal documentation, and contract management for various business transactions.

• Develop internal policies to minimize legal risks and safeguard company’s interests.

• Provide timely updates to CEO and Board on critical litigation matters and potential business impact.

• Lead and mentor the in-house legal team.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: LLB/LLM from a reputed institute.

• Experience: 15–20 years of post-qualification experience in handling complex litigation and corporate legal matters.

• Proven expertise in NCLT, Arbitration, and diverse litigation areas as listed above.

• Strong negotiation, drafting, and advocacy skills.

• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide business-oriented legal solutions.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
