Job Description:

Position:          GM - Plant Operation

Location:         Thane

Experience:     12 - 15 Years

Industries:       Pharma

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and utilities to ensure alignment with company goals.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory guidelines (FDA / EMA / local authorities), safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, increase throughout, and minimize downtime.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant management team; ensure workforce training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Monitor production schedules, capacity planning, resource allocation, materials management to meet supply commitments.
  • Ensure continuous quality assurance: batch review, deviation management, process validation, change control.
  • Manage maintenance of plant assets; ensure preventive maintenance and reliability programs are  in place.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure projects; analyze financial KPIs and drive improvement.
  • Liaise with R&D, supply chain, QA, regulatory and other support functions for seamless operations.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks; lead root cause analysis for failures or non‑conformances.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure effective crisis management, business continuity, and emergency preparedness.

 Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing , Testing processes in cosmetics, personal care, premium range of products.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle),
  • Production planning tools, and maintenance software
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good in communication

Required Qualification: - B.Pharm/M.Pharm/B.Sc/M.Sc - Chemistry

Salary: - Up to 15.00 LPA
