Job Description: Sr. Technician / Technician

Position Overview:

The Sr. Technician / Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The role involves hands-on technical work, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions promptly to reduce equipment downtime.

• Install, configure, and commission new equipment and systems as per specifications.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to carry out repairs and maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and quality guidelines.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to improve operational efficiency.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

• Train junior technicians or apprentices and provide technical support when required.

• Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities to the concerned departments.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely resolution.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest technical enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, or relevant technical certification.

• Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair in relevant industry.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.

• Proficient in using technical tools, equipment, and software as applicable.

Working Conditions:

• May require shift work, overtime, or on-call availability.

• Work performed in industrial or manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, machinery, and hazardous materials.
