Consultant – Gastroenterologist | Gastro­surgeon | Neurosurgeon | Cardiac Surgeon | Radiologist

Location

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Overview

We are seeking experienced and committed consultants in the following specialties to join our multi-specialty hospital in Bhopal. The selected candidates will contribute to clinical excellence, teaching, patient care, and departmental growth in a state-of-the-art facility.


Key Responsibilities (for all roles)

  • Provide expert outpatient and inpatient consultation in your specialty

  • Perform and oversee diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures (as applicable)

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. internal medicine, anesthesia, critical care, laboratory, radiology)

  • Supervise junior doctors, fellows, and residents; guide training programs

  • Participate in academic & research activities; publish clinical work and presentations

  • Maintain quality, safety protocols, and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes

  • Assist in departmental planning, resource utilization, and equipment procurement


Specialty-Specific Expectations & Skills

Gastroenterologist / Gastro-surgeon

  • Endoscopy (upper GI, colonoscopy), ERCP, endoscopic interventions, therapeutic endoscopy

  • Evaluation & management of liver diseases, pancreaticobiliary disorders, GI bleeding, IBD

  • For the surgeon variant: laparoscopic GI surgeries, hepatobiliary surgery, GI oncology procedures

  • Close coordination with radiology, pathology, hepatology, oncology

  • Strong procedural skills and experience with advanced GI/endoscopic techniques

Neurosurgeon

  • Perform neurosurgical operations including (but not limited to) cranial, spine, neuro-oncology, vascular neurosurgery

  • Preoperative and postoperative management of neurosurgical patients, including ICU care

  • Use of microscopy, neuro-navigation, microsurgical techniques, neuro-monitoring

  • Collaboration with neurology, neuro-radiology, neuro-rehabilitation

  • Maintain expertise in newer surgical technologies and minimally invasive neurosurgery

Cardiac Surgeon

  • Carry out adult and pediatric cardiac surgical procedures: CABG, valve repair/replacement, congenital defects, aortic surgery

  • Manage surgical ICU, postoperative care, complications, re-operations

  • Work in tandem with cardiology, perfusion, anesthesia, critical care teams

  • Uphold surgical quality standards, patient safety protocols, and outcome monitoring

  • Leadership in surgical planning, scheduling, team coordination

Radiologist

  • Interpret and report diagnostic imaging (X-ray, USG, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy)

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures (biopsies, embolization, drainage, angiography)

  • Quality checks, protocol development, radiation safety practices

  • Liaise with all clinical departments for imaging needs, and support guidance in image-guided therapies

  • Stay updated on advanced imaging modalities (PET-CT, functional MRI, etc.)


Qualifications & Experience

Role Essential Qualification Desired Experience
Gastroenterologist MD/DNB (Gastroenterology) / DM Hepatology / equivalent 2–5 years post qualification (or exceptional freshers)
Gastro-surgeon MS / MCh / DNB in GI Surgery / Hepato-pancreato-biliary Experience in advanced GI surgeries & minimally invasive techniques
Neurosurgeon MCh / DNB (Neurosurgery) 2+ years of operative experience; exposure to subspecialties is a plus
Cardiac Surgeon MCh / DNB (CTVS / Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery) Proven surgical track record in cardiac procedures
Radiologist MD / DNB (Radiology / Radiodiagnosis) Experience in diagnostic + interventional radiology preferred
