Job Description:
A Computer Operator/MIS Executive manages information systems by performing data entry, generating reports, managing databases, and maintaining system functionality to support organizational decision-making and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include maintaining data accuracy, troubleshooting technical issues, creating reports and visualizations, and collaborating with other departments to meet data requirements. Essential skills involve proficiency in Microsoft Excel (especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), data analysis, and good communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management:Perform accurate data entry and maintain the integrity and accuracy of databases and systems.
- Reporting:Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, create dashboards, and analyze data trends to provide insights and support business planning.
- System Maintenance:Manage and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS), ensuring the timely update of systems and troubleshooting any issues related to operating systems, software, and networks.
- Support & Training:Provide training and technical support to staff on MIS and DTP tools.
- Collaboration:Work with various departments to understand their data requirements and provide necessary data insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Documentation:Create reports and documentation for all IT-related issues.
Key Skills
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP), knowledge of MIS tools, and a strong understanding of operating systems and networks.
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and numerical skills to process and interpret data and identify trends.
- Communication:Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Data Visualization:Ability to create charts, graphs, and data visualizations for reports.
- Attention to Detail:Crucial for maintaining data accuracy and precision in reporting.
Typical Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience in data analysis, database management, and IT support.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau can be beneficial.
