Job Description:
A Sr. Technician/Technician's role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. A Senior Technician typically has more experience, leads junior technicians, manages multiple complex projects, and provides guidance on technical procedures. Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, completing repairs with minimal downtime, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with other departments to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance:Install, configure, and maintain various equipment, machinery, and technical systems.
- Troubleshooting & Repair:Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex technical issues and equipment malfunctions to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance:Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and procedures for equipment and systems.
- Quality & Safety:Ensure all technical activities and installations comply with established safety regulations and industry standards.
- Leadership & Mentorship (Senior Role):Lead, train, and mentor junior technicians, oversee their work, and provide guidance on technical procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, equipment performance, and safety inspections.
- Process Improvement:Collaborate with engineers and other teams to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative technical solutions.
- Technical Expertise:Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:Extensive hands-on experience in technical support, maintenance, or a relevant field.
- Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair, including specific tools and diagnostic methods.
- Problem-Solving:Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with team members and other departments.
- Attention to Detail:Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, repairs, and compliance.
- Teamwork:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively collaborate as part of a team.
