Job Description:

The Helper Workshop in the Rolling Mill department will provide essential support to the workshop team and rolling mill operators by assisting in maintenance, material handling, and general workshop activities. The role involves physically supporting mill operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and assisting technicians and engineers with daily tasks to ensure smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of rolling mill equipment and workshop tools.

• Handle raw materials, coils, and finished products within the workshop and mill area.

• Support the setup and preparation of tools and equipment needed for rolling mill operations.

• Help in the replacement and installation of rollers and other mill components under supervision.

• Participate in routine inspection and lubrication of machinery.

• Remove scrap materials and ensure proper disposal to maintain a clean work environment.

• Assist in loading and unloading of materials using lifting equipment safely.

• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Maintain workshop cleanliness and assist in inventory management of tools and consumables.

• Support technicians and engineers during repair and maintenance activities.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Basic knowledge of rolling mill processes and workshop operations is an advantage.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials.

• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Awareness of safety practices and ability to adhere to safety standards.

• Willingness to learn and assist in various workshop duties.

Work Environment:

• Industrial workshop and rolling mill environment.

• Exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery.

• Requires adherence to strict safety and operational guidelines.
