Job Description:

Position:          Manufacturing Excellence Lead

Location:         Saigam near to Vapi

Experience:      8 - 12 Years

Industries:      Chemical

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement manufacturing excellence frameworks by identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and establishing effective data collection mechanisms.
  • Analyze existing operational processes, technologies, and systems to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize operational data and monthly performance reports to drive data-backed decision-making and optimize plant performance.
  • Benchmark site operations against global best practices to challenge the status quo and drive towards world-class manufacturing standards.
  • Track and monitor KPIs such as equipment downtime, reliability, safety incidents, and cost efficiencies to measure progress and highlight improvement areas.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies including TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving to enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Quality—to execute improvement projects that deliver measurable results.
  • Ensure consistent application of Manufacturing Excellence systems and standards across all manufacturing sites through governance, audits, and structured reviews.
  • Drive hands-on process improvement initiatives, particularly within chemical or process industry environments, ensuring operational excellence is embedded in day-to-day activities.
  • Lead and facilitate root cause analyses (RCA) to identify recurring issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support the design, implementation, and operationalization of improved processes, ensuring alignment with site capabilities and business goals.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on Lean tools and methodologies to build internal capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a credible and independent voice in strategic forums, using data and sound judgment to challenge current practices and influence decision-making.
  • Engage stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment and drive execution of transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure long-term sustainability of implemented improvements through strong change management, ongoing monitoring, and continuous feedback loops.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement and maintenance excellence projects.
  • Strong ability to work in a high-influence environment, engaging cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Solid business acumen with a clear understanding of operational and strategic drivers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence, align, and engage stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness to align improvement initiatives with business objectives.

Required Qualification: - B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Industrial

Salary :- Upto 18.00 LPA
