Job Description:
- Lesioning with State & central Pollution Control Board, (GPCB, MOEF, GIDC )etc.
- To monitor the work-environment departmentally as well as through approved external agencies and submit periodic reports to the Pollution Control Board.
- To take appropriate remedial measures to minimize pollution.
- To submit yearly Environmental Audit reports and yearly Environmental Statement to GPCB.
- Obtaining necessary consents (CC&A) / licenses / permissions pertaining to EHS related legislations from regulatory authorities including documentation.
- Supervision of Effluent Treatment Plant and MEE for smooth operation.
- Coordinating and Monitoring of stack and ambient air quality, Wastewater treatment of effluent and disposal of hazardous wastes as per regulatory requirements
- Supervision of Hazardous Solid Waste Management at site.
- Maintaining record of Hazardous Solid Waste Management.
- Supervising the regular & timely disposal of treated effluent.
- Maintaining record for Form no 3, 4 & Form no 5 and timely submission to GPCB.
- Cost effective functioning of STP, ETP and MEE.
- Assess the environmental impacts associated with Contractor activities, and development of the appropriate environmental responses, including advice on remedial actions.
- Lead discussions and correspondence with/to the Contractor(s) regarding environmental activities and procedures and develop the appropriate responses/direction to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.
- Manage Contractor response activities related to environmental advice, non-compliances, environmental incidents, etc.
- Review and comment on Contractor's environmental deliverables, including EMP, method statements, monitoring reports, progress reports, schedule, etc.
- Organize the necessary resources to achieve project objectives and goals.
- Communicate effectively both through written reports, letters, e-mails and in oral discussions, internally with all employees on the project, other disciplines and departments, and externally with the Client, Contractors and Government Agencies.
- Implement the Environmental Management Plan in accordance with local, client & company EHS standards.
- Make sure regulatory requirements are in place and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
- Maintain regulatory register and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Delivering tool box talk and site orientation to workers related to environmental issues at site.
- Conduct and report on regular site inspections (daily/weekly/monthly), and conduct audits as per ISO 14001/45001 & RC
