Maintenance Head & Safety officer at Vasai east in Mumbai

Job Description:

Qualification: Diploma Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in maintenance and safety functions in a manufacturing assembly setup
Work location: Vasai east in Mumbai Pelhar plant

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all maintenance activities electrical mechanical and civil while implementing and monitoring safety systems in compliance with statutory requirements
The role ensures equipment reliability preventive maintenance and a safe working environment for all employees

Maintenance Responsibilities:
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery utilities and equipment
Maintain records of maintenance schedules spare parts and service reports
Coordinate with vendors for repair calibration and servicing work
Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical systems compressors DG sets HVAC water systems etc
Monitor energy consumption and suggest cost saving improvements
Prepare maintenance budget and ensure timely procurement of maintenance materials

Safety Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Factories Act and other applicable laws
Organize safety training fire drills and emergency response sessions for employees
Investigate accidents incidents and near misses recommend corrective and preventive actions
Maintain all safety records permits and documentation
Coordinate with government authorities like Factory Inspector Pollution Control Board during audits or inspections

Key Skills:
Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and statutory safety norms
Strong problem solving documentation and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software
