Business Development Manager – Accounting & Financial Services (USA)

Company Overview

Our client is a trusted offshore partner for leading financial services firms in the US and Canada, offering a comprehensive suite of services ranging from accounting and taxation to valuation and advisory services. The client is now expanding theirr reach into the Private Equity and Venture Capital ecosystem in the US, and is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to spearhead that growth.

Location

Remote – anywhere in the USA

Compensation

Base Salary up to USD 150,000/year, plus performance-based incentives tied to new business generation.

Role Summary

You will be responsible for driving new business across the PE/VC sector in the US. Working closely with the client's service delivery team, you will identify, engage, and close engagements where the client's accounting, financial reporting, valuation, and advisory services become strategic growth levers for investment firms and their portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan targeted at Private Equity and Venture Capital firms in the US market.

  • Proactively identify and engage decision-makers (GPs, CFOs of portfolio companies, managing partners) and build strong relationships.

  • Present and position our capabilities in accounting, FP&A, virtual CFO, valuation and advisory services as value creation tools for investment firms.

  • Collaborate with internal service delivery teams (accounting, valuation, tax) to craft compelling service solutions aligned with client needs.

  • Attend industry events, PE/VC forums, investor summits and networking functions to build market presence and pipeline.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation and closing.

  • Track and report pipeline metrics, revenue forecasts, and progress toward the USD 1 million annual target.

  • Serve as an ambassador of our brand in the US investment ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 7-10 years of business development or sales experience in accounting, financial services, or consulting.

  • Proven track record selling to or through Private Equity or Venture Capital firms (or strong experience in the investment ecosystem).

  • Solid understanding of fund structures, portfolio company financials, valuation, and advisory services.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills—comfortable engaging senior executives.

  • Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial and able to drive results in a remote setup.

  • Existing network within the US PE/VC community is a strong plus.
