Job Description:

Mechanical Design Engineer

Software Competencies: - Solid-works, Auto-cad,
* Proficiency with engineering design programs such as Solid-works modules like part design,
assembly design, drafting & weldments. 3D and 2D design generation.
* Proficient in developing new concept and generate ideas for new requirements.
* Continuous design Improvements
* Good Knowledge of assembly and trials. Efficient contributor in try outs and proving.
* Sound experience of designing assembly automations, special purpose machine, vision
machines, Jigs, fixtures and concepts like Poka-Yoke, Kaizens etc.
* Sound Knowledge on Robotic material handling design concepts and executions.
* Design experience in different conveyors like power and free, idler, Powered conveyors
* Design experience on Kitting racks, kitting area automations
* Very good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and servo systems. Knowledge about sheet
metal manufacturing process.
* Sound knowledge of product selection, load, life cycle, tact time, etc calculations as per
customer specification and tolerances. Control and maintain the design standards of the
products.
* Very good in DAP, BOM finalization and costing with optimization as per customer
requirement and specification.
* Good interaction with all stake holders and cross functional teams to develop and design
equipment’s.
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills with leadership qualities.
* Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Ability to handle complex design assignments with limited direction and supervision.
* Knowledge in GD&T.
* Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
* Communication: Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills when
engaging with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
