Role Purpose
To lead and transform the global supply chain function—encompassing procurement, logistics,

system that supports all P&L units (Domestic, Export, Engineering, and Software).
The role ensures end-to-end visibility, governance, and synergy across regions and business lines
through strategic sourcing, operational discipline, and continuous process innovation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
 Design and implement SCM strategy aligned to corporate objectives and P&L requirements.
 Establish procurement and logistics policies, approval frameworks, and service-level
agreements (SLAs).
 Drive cost optimization and risk mitigation through category consolidation and vendor
rationalization.
2. Vendor & Contract Governance
 Oversee vendor identification, empanelment, and rate-contract negotiations for all
categories (equipment, consumables, logistics, IT, and services).
 Build regional vendor networks to ensure multi-country supply continuity and quality
assurance.
 Conduct annual vendor audits and performance scorecards.
3. Procurement Excellence
 Supervise category managers and P&L SCM leads for timely and compliant procurement.
 Review high-value purchases and approve POs above threshold limits.
 Monitor purchase-to-pay cycle efficiency and ensure integration with Zoho workflows.
4. Logistics & Distribution
 Govern global logistics, including import/export, marine freight, and customs clearance.
 Develop group logistics contracts and optimize cost per kilometre / tonne.
 Ensure equipment mobilization and demobilization plans are aligned with project schedules.
5. Inventory & Asset Management

 Oversee central stores, calibration schedules, and regional inventory health.
 Implement digital stock tracking and monthly reconciliation across labs and sites.
 Monitor asset utilization, obsolescence, and redistribution between regions.
6. Digital Transformation
 Champion Zoho Books / Inventory / Analytics adoption across all P&Ls.
 Create real-time dashboards for procurement spend, SLA adherence, and budget variance.
 Integrate data for management reviews and predictive analytics.
7. Team Leadership & Capability Building
 Lead, mentor, and develop SCM managers, leads, and coordinators across countries.
 Foster collaboration with P&L heads, finance, and project management offices.
 Build succession pipelines and cross-functional training for SCM personnel.
8. Compliance & Audit
 Ensure compliance with GST, DGFT, Customs, and country-specific import/export laws.
 Coordinate with finance for cost audits, statutory filings, and governance reviews.
 Lead quarterly internal audits and implement corrective actions.
