Job Description:

A DCS (Distributed Control System) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the automated control systems that monitor and operate industrial processes. Key duties include configuring and programming control systems, developing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) graphics, troubleshooting system malfunctions, performing maintenance, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. This role requires close collaboration with plant operators, technicians, and other engineers.

Key responsibilities

System Design and Configuration:

Design, program, and configure DCS and SCADA systems to meet production requirements.

HMI Development:

Create and maintain user-friendly Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens for efficient operator interaction.

System Integration:

Integrate the DCS with field instruments, PLCs, and other third-party systems.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Diagnose and resolve system faults, perform routine maintenance, and provide technical support to plant staff.

Testing and Commissioning:

Support and perform testing, such as FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and the full commissioning of new or upgraded systems.

Optimization:

Analyze system performance and optimize control logic to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that systems comply with safety and regulatory standards, and create necessary documentation.
