Job Description:
An HR officer manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, benefits, and performance management. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with labor laws, maintaining employee records, handling employee relations, and implementing HR policies. Key duties include recruiting new staff, coordinating training, and addressing employee grievances and disciplinary issues.
Core responsibilities
- Recruitment and hiring: Posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and making job offers.
- Onboarding and training: Coordinating new employee orientation, paperwork, and initial training.
- Compensation and benefits: Administering payroll, pensions, and benefits, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Employee relations: Handling employee complaints, disputes, and disciplinary actions; conducting investigations; and providing guidance to managers and employees.
- Performance management: Monitoring staff performance, conducting reviews, and developing performance improvement plans.
- Compliance and policy: Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed, staying up-to-date on employment laws, and maintaining accurate employee records.
