Job Description:

• • A ride machine operator's job description includes supervising, operating, and ensuring the safety of amusement park rides. This involves boarding and securing guests, enforcing rules, monitoring for safety, performing routine inspections, and providing excellent customer service. Operators must also manage guest flow, handle minor maintenance like cleaning, and respond to emergencies according to strict safety protocols. 
     
    Key responsibilities
    • Guest safety and assistance:
      • Board, secure, and un-board passengers safely and efficiently.
      • Enforce rider restrictions (e.g., height, age, weight) and explain safety procedures.
      • Provide assistance to guests entering and exiting the ride.
      • Monitor guests to ensure they are not in a dangerous position.
    • Ride operation:
      • Operate rides and attractions according to established safety protocols and procedures.
      • Operate control equipment to start, stop, and manage the ride's cycle.
      • Ensure proper spacing between ride vehicles to prevent collisions.
    • Monitoring and maintenance:
      • Conduct daily inspections to check for wear and tear and ensure the ride is in proper working order.
      • Perform routine upkeep such as cleaning debris, lubricating parts, and replacing light bulbs.
      • Monitor the ride during operation to detect and report potential issues.
    • Customer service:
      • Greet guests in a fun and professional manner.
      • Answer guest questions and provide general information about the park.
      • Entice patrons to ride by describing the attraction.
    • Emergency response:
      • Respond to emergencies, which may include stopping the ride and de-boarding passengers in case of an issue.
      • Follow all emergency procedures, including those for potential malfunctions.
