Job Description:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Head to lead and expand the
Business. The ideal candidate will have strong industry relationships, deep understanding of capital
markets and proven experience in scaling LAS products within an NBFC or financial services
environment. This role involves strategy building, business acquisition, channel management and
ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
 
  • Key Responsibilities
 
  • 1. Business Strategy & Growth
  • Develop and implement the overall business growth strategy for LAS products.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue channels.
  • Drive customer acquisition and expand the LAS portfolio across retail, HNI, and corporate
segments.
  • Analyze market potential, competitor offerings, and industry trends to support strategic
decision-making.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve market positioning, brand visibility, and product
penetration.
  • Drive digital revenue generation by leveraging technology, digital platforms, and data-driven
insights.
 
  • 2. Relationship Management
  • Build and manage strong relationships with brokers, wealth managers, PMS houses, RIA
networks, corporates, and high-value clients.
  • Strengthen partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize business flow.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, events, and networking platforms to enhance
visibility and business outreach.
 
  • 3. Product & Operations Management
  • Oversee end-to-end LAS processes including client onboarding, documentation, valuation,
limit setting, disbursement, and periodic review.
  • Collaborate with credit, risk, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and
adherence to TATs.
  • Ensure pricing strategy is competitive, profitable, and aligned with market dynamics.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and digital
initiatives.
 
  • 4. Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the LAS business team to achieve defined business targets.
  • Build a high-performing team structure; candidates who can bring their existing team will be
considered an added advantage.
  • Set performance goals, conduct periodic reviews, and drive capability-building initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
 
  • 5. Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure strict compliance with RBI regulations, internal policies, and risk frameworks.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency trends, and overall risk exposure.
  • Work closely with credit and risk teams for periodic reviews, early warning signals, and
proactive risk mitigation.
 
  • 6. Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare business forecasts, MIS reports, and performance analytics for senior management.
  • Track KPIs, revenue targets, portfolio health, and productivity metrics.
  • Provide insights to support strategic planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation.
 
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1015 years of experience in Business Development within LAS / Capital Markets / NBFC
domain.
  • Strong industry network across brokers, wealth distribution channels and HNI clients.
  • Thorough understanding of Loan Against Shares, capital market operations, credit assessment,
and compliance norms.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
