Key responsibilities
- Design and planning:
- Design and model infrastructure projects, creating blueprints and technical drawings using software like CAD.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical assessments.
- Plan and develop project plans, schedules, and specifications.
- Project management:
- Manage project budgets, costs, and resources.
- Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries.
- Oversee construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Compliance and safety:
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant government rules, regulations, and safety standards.
- Assess the environmental impact of projects.
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures on construction sites.
- Stakeholder collaboration:
- Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other professionals.
- Coordinate with local agencies and government bodies.
- Problem-solving and reporting:
- Resolve design and development problems as they arise.
- Prepare detailed project reports, documentation, and technical files.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers
