Job Summary
The Senior Relationship Manager (SR RM) – Construction Finance is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing relationships with real estate developers, construction companies, and infrastructure clients. The role involves assessing project viability, structuring construction loans, managing portfolio quality, ensuring compliance, and driving revenue through new business and cross-selling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

Identify, target, and onboard reputable real estate developers and construction firms.

Generate new business for construction finance, lease rental discounting (LRD), project loans, and working capital products.

Build a strong pipeline through market intelligence, networking, and channel partners.
2. Relationship Management

Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring timely support and high service quality.

Deepen wallet share by cross-selling treasury, CASA, insurance, and other banking products.

Maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with promoters and senior management.
3. Credit Assessment & Structuring

Evaluate project feasibility, market demand, cash flows, construction timelines, and promoter financials.

Structure complex construction finance proposals including tranche disbursements, escrow mechanisms, and security packages.

Prepare and present detailed credit proposals for internal committees.

Collaborate with credit, risk, and legal teams to ensure robust structuring.
4. Portfolio & Risk Management

Monitor portfolio quality, project progress, receivables status, and covenant compliance.

Conduct periodic site visits and ensure timely identification of early warning signals (EWS).

Manage delinquencies, resolve stressed accounts, and maintain NPA-free portfolio.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal lending guidelines.
5. Documentation & Disbursement

Coordinate with legal, technical, and valuation agencies to complete due diligence.

Ensure timely documentation, execution of loan agreements, creation of security, and perfection of charges.

Drive timely disbursements linked to construction milestones.
6. Internal Coordination & Reporting

Work closely with credit, operations, legal, and technical teams for end-to-end processing.

Prepare MIS, weekly pipeline reports, and portfolio dashboards for management review.

Support audits and ensure compliance with RBI and internal policies.

Qualifications & Experience
