Job Description:

 

An Executive Sales Mining role is a high-level sales position focused on selling products or services to the mining industry. The executive develops and executes sales strategies, manages key client accounts, and achieves revenue targets by building strong relationships with mining companies. Key responsibilities include market research, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, and collaborating with internal engineering and technical teams to provide solutions that meet client needs. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies: Create and execute strategic plans to achieve sales and financial goals.
  • Lead generation and client management: Prospect for new clients and manage and grow relationships with existing accounts in the mining sector.
  • Sales execution: Conduct product presentations, demos, and negotiations to close deals.
  • Market analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Technical and product support: Provide technical support and product training to clients and collaborate with internal engineering teams to customize solutions.
  • Forecasting and reporting: Accurately forecast sales and revenue, and review sales performance.
  • Networking: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand presence and identify opportunities. 
 
Qualifications and skills
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is often required.
  • Experience: Proven track record in sales, ideally with a focus on the mining industry, and experience in sales management or a similar leadership role.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of mining operations and related products, equipment, or services.
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential for success.
  • Business acumen: Strategic thinking and the ability to align technical solutions with customer business objectives and goals.
  • Other skills: Familiarity with CRM software and strong data analysis skills can be beneficial.
