Working Days: 5 days a week (Mon to Fri) and (Sat and Sun fixed off)
Work Timings: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

JD:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The position is responsible for Capital Procurement (Contracts/Equipment) and the execution of large-scale engineering and capital projects across global network sites. The role ensures alignment of procurement processes with corporate objectives and success factors, with a focus on cost savings, supplier quality, innovation, and risk management.
The incumbent will support and lead supplier and contractor selection for major capital projects, monitor performance, and mitigate risks. This position also emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, budget management, compliance, and implementation of best practices.

INTERNAL:

Project Management, Engineering, EHS, Manufacturing, Quality, Research & Development (R&D), Finance, Legal, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology (IT)

EXTERNAL:

Customers, Suppliers, Logistics and Transportation Partners, Regulatory Agencies, Consultants and Advisors

 


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Production / Electrical, etc.)

  • Preferably a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience in engineering and project procurement with knowledge of industry regulations, preferably within the Pharma/Healthcare sector

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills

  • Independent handling of capital procurement activities

  • Experience managing sourcing efforts across multiple sites or international locations


1. Supplier & Contract Management

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for capital equipment and engineering projects

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, service levels, and contracts

  • Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and support e-auctions

  • Support creation of SOWs, SLAs, POs, and related documents

  • Track contract lifecycle, renewals, open POs, and compliance requirements

  • Maintain supplier relationships and support alternate vendor development

  • Support category managers with MIS and cross-functional coordination

  • Manage supplier risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards


2. Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, legal, and other teams

  • Support project timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements

  • Advise leadership on sourcing strategies, procurement trends, and cost-saving opportunities


3. Cost Control & Analytics

  • Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations

  • Utilize data and analytics to optimize procurement decisions and monitor performance

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

  • Experience handling complex supplier relationships

  • Knowledge of procurement tools such as GEP SMART, SAP Ariba, Coupa, and SAP/S4 HANA

  • Good financial analysis and decision-making skills

  • Understanding of engineering and capital project lifecycles

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, risk management, and compliance
