Integrated MSW Management and Hazardous Waste Management projects and
Industrial/Municipalities Wastewater/Effluent treatment projects) across India.
BEIL is one of the leading Hazardous waste Treatment companies in India and have setup &
operating 4 Common TSDFs (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified facilities) in India to cater
the need for disposal of Hazardous waste from approx. 3000 Member Industries in various
regions across India.

Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Purchase will lead the procurement function for EPC projects,
ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. The role demands strong
technical understanding, vendor management skills, contract negotiation expertise, and the
ability to drive cost-effective procurement in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and
cost targets.
Prepare annual and project-specific procurement plans, budgets, and material
requirement forecasts.
Ensure optimization of cost, quality, and delivery performance.
2. Vendor Identification & Management
Identify, qualify, and onboard reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
for EPC materials/equipment.
Maintain strategic vendor relationships to ensure long-term association and
competitive pricing.
Perform vendor audits, capability assessments, and performance evaluations.
3. Sourcing & Negotiation
Lead techno-commercial negotiations to finalize procurement contracts for bulk
materials, mechanical/electrical equipment, civil materials, and project packages.
Secure competitive pricing, delivery terms, payment terms, and warranties.
Manage global sourcing where beneficial and feasible.
4. Purchase Order Management
Prepare, review, and release Purchase Orders (POs) in line with project specifications
and quality standards.
Ensure accurate documentation, contract clauses, terms & conditions, and
compliance with company policies.
5. Coordination with Project Teams
Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Construction, and Finance teams to
understand project requirements.
Track procurement schedules and align deliveries with project execution timelines.
Resolve site-level material issues and ensure uninterrupted project execution.
6. Logistics & Delivery Follow-Up
Monitor dispatch schedules, logistics planning, and transportation arrangements.
Coordinate with logistics partners for timely delivery and clearance of imported
items (if applicable).
Track GRN, delivery discrepancies, and ensure closure of pending issues.
7. Vendor Payments & Compliance
Coordinate with Accounts & Finance for timely vendor payments as per agreed
terms.
Verify invoices, delivery documents, and ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and
legal requirements.
Manage LD (Liquidated Damages), performance bank guarantees, and warranty
compliance.
8. Cost Optimization & Risk Management
Identify opportunities for cost savings through sourcing strategies, vendor
development, and process improvement.
Assess procurement-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of EPC procurement processes, project materials, and equipment.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Deep understanding of techno-commercial evaluation and supply chain dynamics.
Ability to manage large-value procurement packages independently.
Proficiency in SAP/ERP procurement modules.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and vendor relationship management.
Leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of buyers/executives.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) – preferred.
MBA / PGDBM in Supply Chain or Operations – added advantage.
