Job Description:

1. Vehicle Placement & Deployment

• Manage and ensure the timely placement and having knowledge of Trailer, Multi axle, Taurus, Semi-Trailer, FBT, SLBT, HCV, MCV and other heavy commercial vehicles across Pan-India routes.
• Liaise with clients and internal sales teams to understand load requirements and mobilize suitable fleets accordingly.
• Coordinate with vendors, own fleet drivers, and local operators to ensure availability and reliability of vehicles.
• Lead and supervise a multi-location operations team including regional logistics coordinators, fleet supervisors, and driver support staff.
• Monitor team KPIs vehicle turnaround time, trip completion rate, empty return cost, etc.
• Conduct regular training and performance reviews for operational staff.
• Build and maintain a reliable vendor base for vehicle sourcing.
• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service agreements with local transporters and fleet owners.
• Oversee driver allocation, behaviour, and grievance handling along with the team.
• Optimize vehicle routing to reduce empty runs, fuel cost, and transit delays.
• Manage route planning for North, South, East & West zones to streamline operations.
• Analyze load patterns, seasonal demands, and route profitability.
• Ensure full compliance with RTO norms, road permits, tolls, insurance, and vehicle fitness.
• Track daily vehicle movements and generate MIS reports from the team on vehicle status, placement, delivery, and delay.
• Monitor budget across regions and prepare monthly operations dashboards.
• Coordinate closely with sales, client servicing, billing, and accounts teams.
• Serve as escalation point for client delivery complaints or transit delays.
