Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, control systems, and lighting.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix faults in electrical equipment, PLCs, AC drives, and instrumentation using test equipment (voltmeters, thermal scanners).
- Installation & Upgrades: Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, and control circuits.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols (LOTO, PPE), perform risk assessments, and ensure work meets code regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain logs, records, and drawings of all electrical systems, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Operations Support: Operate switchgear and adjust controls to manage power flow and load transfers.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of electrical theory, power generation, and distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, thermal scanners).
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Digital Control Systems (DCS) is often required.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
