Role Overview

The Sr. Manager – Dealer Development & Network Expansion will be responsible for driving the growth of Motovolt’s retail footprint by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing high-quality dealers and channel partners. The role will also ensure dealer profitability, adherence to brand standards, and seamless network operations to accelerate market penetration and sales performance across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Dealer Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Identify new markets and evaluate potential dealer locations based on demand, competition, and strategic relevance.
  • Source, screen, and appoint high-potential dealers in line with company criteria.
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding, including documentation, infrastructure readiness, and compliance with brand guidelines.
  1. Network Expansion Strategy
  • Develop short-term and long-term network expansion plans to strengthen market presence.
  • Conduct geographical mapping and feasibility analysis to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Drive retail expansion aligned with business goals, sales forecasts, and market opportunities.
  1. Dealer Performance Management
  • Monitor dealer KPIs including sales performance, inventory health, customer experience, and service quality.
  • Implement performance improvement plans for underperforming dealers.
  • Ensure dealers meet operational, commercial, and service-level standards consistently.
  1. Relationship & Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key market partners.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, marketing, and supply chain teams to support dealer operations.
  • Resolve escalations related to dealer operations, sales disputes, and customer issues.
  1. Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking
  • Track competitor dealer network strategies, schemes, and market expansions.
  • Provide inputs for pricing, channel policies, and promotional programs based on market feedback.
  • Identify emerging opportunities for EV adoption and local partnerships.
  1. Process Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure dealers adhere to brand, pricing, and operational SOPs.
  • Conduct periodic dealer audits (sales, branding, service, inventory, manpower).
  • Strengthen dealer capability through training, business planning, and operational support.
  1. Sales Enablement & Revenue Growth
  • Support dealers in achieving sales targets through demand generation activities.
  • Recommend channel incentives, promotional campaigns, and local activations.
  • Work closely with marketing for brand visibility and store-level branding execution.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of dealer/channel development in automotive/EV/consumer durables.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical approach to market assessment and business planning.
  • Ability to lead network expansion projects independently.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/MBA preferred.
  • 7–12 years of experience in Dealer Development, Sales Network Expansion, Business Development, preferably in EV/Automotive/2W/Consumer Electronics industries.
  • Proven track record of onboarding and managing dealers across multiple regions.
