Job Description:
Purchase Executive
Department: Fleet
Reporting To: Fleet Manager
Location: Raipur
Compensation: 20000 - 25000
Job Summary:
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services required by the organization at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders
- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with vendors
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, auto parts as per production/operational requirements
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor details, and documentation
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
- Handle vendor follow-ups and resolve supply-related issues
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing required purchase-related documents
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in purchase/procurement (industry dependent)
- Knowledge of GST and basic accounting is an advantage
