Welding Engineer
Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer / Welder to perform welding operations on structural steel, pipelines, pressure vessels, and fabricated components. The candidate should have strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety standards, and quality inspection methods.
Roles & Responsibilities

Perform welding using MIG, TIG, ARC (SMAW), and Gas Welding techniques.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).

Set up welding machines and select appropriate electrodes, filler wires, and shielding gases.

Carry out fabrication, cutting, grinding, and finishing of metal components.

Ensure weld quality by conducting visual inspection, NDT coordination (UT, RT, PT, MT).

Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe working conditions.

Follow company safety policies and ISO / ASME / AWS welding standards.

Repair and rework defective welds.

Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet project timelines.
Skills Required

Hands-on experience in MIG / TIG / ARC welding.

Ability to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.

Good knowledge of welding defects, distortion control, and heat treatment.

Familiarity with WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.

Basic understanding of fabrication tools and measuring instruments.

Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
