Job Description:
An Architect plans, designs, and oversees construction of buildings, blending creativity with technical knowledge to turn client visions into safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures, managing projects from concept to completion, coordinating teams, ensuring code compliance, and producing detailed drawings using software like AutoCAD/Revit. Key duties involve client consultation, site assessment, design development, cost estimation, preparing construction documents, obtaining permits, and supervising on-site work. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
    • Client & Project Management: Meet with clients to define needs, develop proposals, manage budgets, timelines, and project teams.
    • Design & Documentation: Create conceptual designs, detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications using CAD/BIM software (like Revit, AutoCAD).

 

  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to integrate systems (structural, electrical, mechanical).
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs meet local building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards.
  • Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans.
  • Technical Expertise: Research materials, estimate costs, and prepare contracts. 

 

 
Core Skills:
  • Strong 3D visualization and spatial reasoning.
  • Proficiency in design software (CAD, BIM).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of construction technologies and materials.
  • Project management and leadership. 
 
Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based for design, but includes significant site visits.
  • Collaborative team setting with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Involves working with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
