Service Engineer
Job Description:
We are hiring skilled and customer-focused Service Engineers to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of bulk material handling chains at cement plants and heavy industrial sites. The role plays a critical part in after-sales service, customer satisfaction, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and servicing of bulk material handling chains
- Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues at customer locations
- Conduct preventive maintenance and periodic equipment health check-ups
- Coordinate with client maintenance teams for smooth equipment operations
- Prepare detailed service reports and feedback after every site visit
- Support technical training sessions and product demonstrations at client sites
- Maintain records of tools, spares, and service activities
- Follow safety standards, site protocols, and compliance requirements
- Escalate complex technical issues to Service HOD or technical team
- Assist in warranty inspections and AMC service activities
- Build strong customer relationships through timely and effective service
- Travel extensively across regional, national, or international locations as required
Skills & Experience Required
- 2–5 years of experience in service/maintenance (cement, steel, or heavy equipment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial chains, and power transmission products
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel frequently across sites
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Experience in service reporting and documentation
- Sound knowledge of safety practices and site service protocols
- Proactive, hands-on, and team-oriented approach
