Job Description:

An Operator CRO (Control Room Operator) job involves monitoring and controlling critical industrial processes (like power plants, mining, or security systems) from a central location, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations through adjusting equipment, responding to alarms, troubleshooting issues, and documenting everything, often using systems like DCS or SCADA, demanding high focus and technical skills to maintain performance and prevent disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Monitoring & Control: Continuously observe plant/system performance via screens, adjusting equipment settings (pressure, temperature, fuel) using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or similar interfaces.
Alarm & Event Response: React promptly to alarms, identifying issues, and initiating corrective actions to maintain stable operations and safety.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment failures or process anomalies to minimize downtime.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs, records of operations, incidents, and generate required reports (hourly, daily, weekly).
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety procedures (LOTO), conduct pre-job safety briefings, and ensure adherence to all company and regulatory standards.
Coordination: Communicate effectively with field personnel, managers, and other departments for seamless workflow.
Maintenance Support: Perform routine checks, preventative maintenance, and support third-party contractors.
Emergency Response: Execute emergency shutdown procedures or other critical actions as needed.
