Job Description:
Position Overview:
The National Placement Head is a strategic and leadership role responsible for spearheading GTT Foundation’s nationwide efforts to
strengthen industry linkages, enhance the employability of approximately 1,00,000 students per year across all disciplines, and ensure
successful placements. This position involves strategic planning, corporate relationship management with a focus on multiple sectors and
developing innovative training initiatives to prepare students for diverse careers. The core objective is to achieve and maintain high-quality
placement outcomes, specifically ensuring a minimum of 70% placement for students in relevant industry domains.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
Develop and execute the GTT Foundation’s annual national placement strategy, roadmap, and operating plan, aligned with
institutional goals.
Design and implement initiatives to improve placement percentages and the quality/diversity of recruiters (especially in
Engineering/Technology and specialized sectors).
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure placement success, student employability, and corporate
engagement effectiveness.
Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for senior management review.
2. Industry Interface & Corporate Relations
Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with leading corporates, industry bodies, HR Heads, and established start-ups
across India
Leverage excellent existing corporate connections to understand talent needs and align academic/training offerings accordingly.
Coordinate corporate visits and placement drives at centres across the country.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, segmented by domain and specialization.
Oversee comprehensive employability enhancement programs, including soft skills, aptitude training, resume building, group
discussions, and interview preparation.
3. Placement Operations & Team Management
Supervise and ensure the smooth execution of all campus recruitment activities, including pre-placement talks, interviews, and
offer management, ensuring excellent hospitality to clients.
Lead, manage, and mentor the Placement staff
Maintain accurate records of student placements, employer contacts, job postings, and analyse this data to identify trends and
improve placement services.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Master's degree in Management/Engineering/Education/or a related discipline from a reputed institution or MSW.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience (8-15 years for highly specialized candidates) in Campus Placements,
Corporate Relations, Talent Engagement, or Talent Acquisition, preferably within a reputed university, higher education, or
EdTech organization.
Track Record: Proven success in building strong corporate partnerships, maintaining an excellent corporate network, and
achieving significant, high-quality placement outcomes for a large student body.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of current industry trends, skill requirements, and campus recruitment processes
across multiple sectors, especially Technology and Services industries.
