Design Engineer (SPM)
Job Description:
Design and develop special purpose machines based on customer requirements and process needs
Prepare concept layouts, 3D models, and 2D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, )
Perform machine calculations (load, torque, speed, stress, material selection)
Select mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, cylinders, sensors, and fasteners.
Coordinate with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC teams
Support manufacturing, assembly, and testing of machines
Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and commissioning
Ensure designs comply with safety standards and quality requirements
Prepare BOM, technical documentation, and manuals
Assist in continuous improvement and cost optimization of machine designs
