As a Risk Modernization Planning and Support team member, the Risk User Acceptance Tester (UAT) will play a key role in evaluating user story scope and performing testing. You will develop test scenarios and scripts based on user stories in line with defined workflows and use cases. In addition, you will test functionality delivered across applications and workflows and validate applications to demonstrate that relevant existing system functionality is as expected.
Essential Job Functions
Develop UAT processes and approaches according to Bank standards.
Assist in designing and ensuring the overall integrity of the testing strategy.
Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for UAT results.
Help design, develop, and implement test plans, scripts, and tools using the detailed user stories provided by the business.
Log any issues found and ensure they are resolved and retested as appropriate.
Assess and revise validation sequence and scope based on testing results and/or changes in product design.
Reconcile results from different test results and different groups.
Assess readiness and deviation of product/project performance based on the test results and product specifications.
Perform testing in the production environment post-implementations.
Be a team player, take initiative, and ownership of responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Strong ability to effectively communicate with management, technology, and business users
Continually identify ways to improve coverage, decrease software defects, and minimize manual testing
Position Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years of testing experience required
3+ years experience creating test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts required
3+ years experience with a test tool such as JIRA X-Ray, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), etc.
Experience with Credit Card processing is a plus
Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Experience with Risk strategies (Fraud, Collections, etc.) is a plus
Experience with FICO tools is a strong plus
College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player; develop solutions to complex problems, thinking outside the box and recommending the best solution
Strong attention to detail with a customer-centric focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exposure to Agile methodologies
Exposure to a software development tool such as JIRA or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the flexibility, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly complex environment
Demonstrated ability to investigate and learn how new technologies and products operate
