Job Description:

Product Manager - Corporate Real Estate (CRE) (M7) at Kotak Mahindra Bank is responsible for managing the product strategy, development, and portfolio of the bank's lending business within the real estate sector. The "M7" likely refers to an internal management level or grade within the bank's structure.
Key Responsibilities
The role generally involves a combination of product development, risk management, and client relationship support.
Product Strategy & Development: Analyze market trends and customer needs within the real estate sector to identify opportunities for new financing solutions and products.
Transaction Structuring: Originate and structure complex real estate financing deals, including project finance, acquisition financing, and lease rental discounting.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, credit, risk, legal, compliance, and external advisors (e.g., valuation agencies, legal counsels), to ensure seamless deal execution and product delivery.
Documentation & Due Diligence: Coordinate due diligence processes and manage all aspects of documentation for deals, ensuring all sanctions and conditions are met.
Portfolio Monitoring: Track the financial and project performance of the existing CRE loan portfolio, conducting site visits, analyzing progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., RERA regulations).
Risk Management: Identify early warning signals for potential credit risks and collaborate with relevant teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Business Growth: Drive business growth for the CRE segment by building relationships with key clients (promoters, CFOs) and identifying cross-selling opportunities for other banking products.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Typically requires significant experience (e.g., 5-10+ years) in banking, real estate finance, credit underwriting, or a related field.
Education: A professional qualification such as CA or an MBA (preferably in Finance) is often preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate asset categories, project finance, regulatory frameworks (RBI, RERA), and credit risk assessment.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
