Senior Safety Officer

Job Description:

• Experience: 4 – 8 Years
• Salary (CTC): ₹6.0 LPA
• Industry: Automotive / Auto Component Manufacturing

• Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the Factories Act, 1948, and all state-specific statutory safety regulations.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for shop-floor activities like melting, stamping, or machining.
• Safety Audits: Perform regular internal safety audits and site inspections to identify unsafe conditions or acts.
• Machine Safety: Implement and monitor Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, machine guarding, and electrical safety standards specifically for auto-component machinery.
• Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety violations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Training & Awareness: Organize "Toolbox Talks," fire safety drills, and specialized safety training programs for permanent and contract workers.
• Management Systems: Maintain and update safety documentation for ISO 45001 (OH&SMS) and ISO 14001 (EMS) standards.
• PPE Management: Enforce the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and manage its inventory and quality. 

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering or a Graduate Degree in Science.
• Mandatory Certification: Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) from a government-recognized institute.
• Additional Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel for safety reporting/data analysis and familiarity with safety management software.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership and the ability to influence a safety-first culture on the shop floor
