Job Title: Safety Officer

Location: Sayakha GIDC, Bharuch.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy & Planning: Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures (like SOPs, emergency plans), and programs.

• Risk Management: Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.

• Training & Awareness: Organize and deliver safety training, drills, and awareness campaigns for all staff.

• Incident Management: Investigate accidents/incidents, report findings, and implement corrective actions.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, national, and industry-specific OHS laws and standards.

• Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain safety records, track training, and provide reports on safety performance.

• Employee Engagement: Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and involvement. Core Duties:

• Performing regular site walks to spot hazards.

• Advising on PPE usage and machine safety.

• Managing permits for high-risk work (e.g., confined space, fall protection).

• Liaising with regulatory bodies.
