Job Description:
🏭 Engineering Head – Manufacturing (Chemical Plant)
Qualification: BE / B.Tech – Mechanical
Experience: ~25 Years (Chemical / Process Manufacturing)
CTC: Up to ₹42 LPA
🔹 Role Purpose
The Engineering Head will lead end-to-end engineering, maintenance, utilities, and project execution for the manufacturing plant. The role focuses on ensuring high plant reliability, asset integrity, safety compliance, cost optimization, and capacity enhancement, aligned with business objectives.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Maintenance Leadership
Head mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utilities, and civil engineering functions.
Ensure maximum plant uptime through robust preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance systems.
Drive asset lifecycle management and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
Project & Capex Management
Lead plant expansion, debottlenecking, brownfield & greenfield projects.
Manage project planning, budgeting, vendor selection, execution, and commissioning.
Ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost, and timeline targets.
Utilities & Infrastructure
Oversee operation and optimization of utilities: boilers, compressors, cooling towers, chilling systems, power distribution, ETP, RO, and firefighting systems.
Improve energy efficiency and utility cost optimization initiatives.
Process Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and process safety norms.
Lead HAZOP, PSM, MOC, audits, and risk assessments.
Support regulatory inspections and certifications.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Develop and manage strategic vendor relationships.
Control AMCs, spares inventory, shutdown planning, and contractor safety.
People & Capability Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a large multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Build succession plans, training programs, and performance systems.
Continuous Improvement
Implement Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and digital maintenance practices.
Drive cost reduction, reliability improvement, and best-practice engineering standards.

Strong expertise in chemical plant engineering & maintenance
Proven project leadership (Capex management)
Deep knowledge of utilities & statutory compliance
Strong people leadership and stakeholder management
Commercial acumen and cost-control mindset
🔹 Preferred Background
Experience in chemical / specialty chemical / API / agrochemical plants
Exposure to large-scale continuous or batch process plants
Hands-on experience with shutdowns, expansions, and plant modernization
🔹 Reporting To
Site Head / Operations Director / Corporate Engineering Head
