Contract: On contract (Payroll company will be Talisman)
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Timing: 8 am to 5 P.M
Primary Job Function
The Research Analyst provides market intelligence and analytical expertise, including research, cost modelling and analytical support services, to inform procurement and category management, decision-making and strategy.
Core Job Responsibilities
Assist the Head Analytics & Market Intelligence in working with procurement and business partners to assess their business needs and contribute meaningfully to the development of procurement and category management strategies. The responsibilities further include -
- Populate and maintain complex databases and apply analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyze and interpret a wide range of supplier and organizational information and options to support procurement planning and decision making
- Undertake research, cost modelling and analysis of supply markets to identify opportunities and draft sourcing strategies
- Develop and provide reports to support effective management of supplier performance as well as Spend Analysis and to track and report on benefits delivered
- Apply risk management and compliance checks when researching and analyzing supply markets to identify potential risks and trigger risk mitigation and management responses
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Individual contributory global role – no reporting positions
Position Accountability / Scope
The position is Global in nature, and reports directly into the Head Analytics and Market Intelligence for Global Procurement
Minimum Education
Bachelors in Engineering / Management / Statistics along with an MBA Degree would be preferred
Minimum Experience/Training Required
6 months – 2 years of experience provided the candidate has the following skill sets
- Research oriented mindset and ability to conduct deep secondary research and interviews as needed
- Good knowledge of Analytics tools such as Tableau, QlikView,
- Knowledge of statistical tools such as Minitab, SAS and R would be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of statistical concepts such as Correlation, Regression etc. and the ability to apply these to the data sets provided
- Ability to analyze financial statements and balance sheets of companies
- Good understanding of the procurement function and process so that the spend data can be analyzed in a manner useful to the business
