Job Description:

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

  • Oversee daily O&M activities of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and related systems ensuring operational efficiency, uptime, and discharge compliance.

  • Monitor equipment performance, process parameters, and troubleshoot issues promptly.

  • Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of mechanical & electrical systems.

  • Ensure statutory compliance (environment, safety, quality) in plant operations and documentation.

  • Prepare performance reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and maintain maintenance logs.

  • Supervise site technicians, operators, and contract staff; conduct training on operational best practices.


2. Procurement & Purchase Management

  • Identify and source critical equipment, spares, chemicals, and services needed for O&M activities.

  • Prepare purchase requisitions (PRs), vendor evaluations, RFQs, and technical specifications aligned with operational requirements.

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase cycle (from requisition to purchase order issuance), ensuring timely delivery and quality.

  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

  • Ensure proper inventory levels of essential parts and consumables to avoid downtime.

  • Work with finance and site teams to monitor procurement budgets and Cost Of Maintenance (COM).

  • Implement procurement policies and ensure compliance with company procedures.


🎯 Core Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of wastewater treatment technologies (STP, ETP, CETP) and related equipment.

  • Knowledge of O&M standards and environmental compliance protocols.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, vendor documents, P&IDs.

  • Familiarity with procurement procedures, supplier assessment, and contract terms.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Good documentation and reporting capabilities
