DESIGNATION Vice President – AIF

REPORTING TO Senior Vice President & Head – Alternate Investment Fund (AIF)

EXPERIENCE

 15+ years of experience in Alternative Investments, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Asset Management, or Investment Banking, with at least 7–10 years directly involved in fundraising, investor relations, or
capital formation.
 Demonstrated understanding of investment transactions and fund strategies, with the ability to articulate investment opportunities effectively to prospective investors.
 Proven track record of independently raising funds from HNWIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, Corporate Treasuries, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, and Institutional Investors.
 Established relationships with wealth management platforms, private banks, family offices, investment advisors, distributors, institutional allocators, and corporate promoters across India and international markets.
 Ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies, investor targeting plans, and capital formation initiatives for new and existing AIF products and Experience managing investor relationships throughout the fundraising
lifecycle, including due diligence, onboarding, reporting, and follow-on commitments.
 Strong understanding of fund structures, SEBI AIF regulations, private market products, investor on-boarding, due diligence processes, fund documentation, and investor communications.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Business Management from a reputed institution. Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, or FRM and an MBA (Finance) are strongly preferred.
Mandatory: NISM Series XIX-C – Alternative Investment Fund Managers Certification)

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Vice President – AIF will be responsible for driving investment sourcing, transaction execution, and capital raising activities across the firm's Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) platform. The role requires a seasoned investment professional with a strong network across promoters, intermediaries, family offices, HNWIs/UHNIs, and institutional investors, along with a proven ability to originate and close investment opportunities and raise capital for alternative investment strategies.

 

Responsibilities

Deal Origination & Investment Evaluation
 Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of proprietary and intermediated investment opportunities aligned with the fund's investment mandate.
 Build relationships with promoters, founders, investment bankers, advisors, family offices, and industry stakeholders to source high-quality transactions.
 Conduct preliminary screening, commercial assessment, financial analysis, and due diligence to develop investment recommendations.
 Prepare investment notes, financial models, valuations, and investment committee presentations.
Transaction Structuring & Execution
 Lead transaction evaluation, valuation, structuring, and negotiation of commercial terms.
 Coordinate with legal, tax, compliance, and external advisors to facilitate deal execution and closure.
 Support portfolio monitoring and identify value creation and exit opportunities.
Fund Raising & Investor Relations
 Lead capital raising initiatives for AIF schemes through HNWIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, Wealth Management Platforms, Corporate Treasuries, and Institutional Investors.
 Develop and maintain strong investor relationships to secure new commitments and enhance investor retention.
 Prepare and present PPMs, pitch decks, fund presentations, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and investor communications.
 Manage ongoing investor engagement, reporting, and fundraising pipelines.
Compliance & Governance
 Ensure adherence to SEBI AIF Regulations, internal investment policies, and regulatory reporting requirements.
 Work closely with compliance, legal, trustees, custodians, and fund administrators on governance and investor-related matters.
