Job Description:
A Head of IT leads an organization's technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations to align with business goals. They manage IT teams, budgets, security protocols, and vendor relationships while overseeing system performance and digital transformation initiatives. Key duties include directing IT staff, implementing cybersecurity measures, upgrading software/hardware, and ensuring system availability. 
Core Responsibilities
    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies, roadmaps, and policies that align with company goals.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage IT personnel, including hiring and performance reviews
      .
  • Infrastructure & Security: Oversee IT infrastructure, maintenance, and cybersecurity measures to protect company data.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Manage IT budgets, hardware/software inventory, and external vendor relationships.
  • Digital Transformation: Drive innovation by implementing new technology, automating processes, and upgrading systems. 
 
 
Key Requirements & Skills
  • Experience: Proven experience in an IT leadership role, often 5-10+ years in IT operations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, security protocols, cloud services, and system administration.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and project management capabilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Typical Reporting Lines
The Head of IT generally reports to the CTO, CIO, or COO.
