Job Description:
A Site Engineer for Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) Erection manages the on-site installation of steel structures, coordinating teams, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing quality control for projects. They are responsible for day-to-day planning, erecting structural steel, managing sheeting processes, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on tim
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise the erection of main frames, purlins, and cladding, ensuring accurate alignment and tightening.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement strict safety protocols, including scaffolding safety, crane operations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and IS codes/AISC/MBMA standards.
- Material Coordination: Manage unloading, inventory, and inventory tracking of materials to prevent shortages.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily progress reports, material consumption reports, and maintain project documentation.
- Team Leadership: Lead erection teams, sub-contractors, and crane operators to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 8 years in PEB erection, structural steel fabrication, and site supervision.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading structural erection drawings, understanding fabrication methods, and knowledge of safety standards.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software is often required for checking drawings.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, troubleshooting abilities, and team management skills.
Typical Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site role.
- Physical presence required at construction sites, involving working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
