Job Description:

The Area Sales Manager – Banca Channel is responsible for driving insurance sales through bank branch networks within the assigned territory. The role focuses on revenue growth, relationship management with bank partners, team performance, and achieving business targets.


2. Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive insurance sales through banca (bank assurance) channel.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Develop territory-wise sales strategy and execution plan.

  • Monitor productivity of mapped bank branches.

2️⃣ Bank Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with Branch Managers and Regional Heads.

  • Ensure regular engagement and joint sales planning with bank staff.

  • Conduct performance review meetings with banking partners.

  • Resolve escalations and operational issues.

3️⃣ Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage Relationship Officers / Sales Executives.

  • Set KPIs and monitor daily sales activities.

  • Conduct regular field visits and joint sales calls.

  • Drive motivation and performance culture.

4️⃣ Training & Activation

  • Conduct product and sales training for bank staff.

  • Ensure bank branch activation and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Promote campaigns and new product launches.

5️⃣ Compliance & Process Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance norms.

  • Maintain sales quality and documentation standards.

  • Monitor persistency and policy issuance ratios.
