ACCOUNTANT FOR PANEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Daily Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate daily records of all financial transactions, including, but not limited to, sales, purchases, and expenses in Tally Prime or relevant ERP software.
• Manufacturing Cost Accounting:
  • Track raw material costs (e.g., steel coils, polyurethane components) and labor costs.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances—comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Calculate cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation.
• Inventory Management: Monitor raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory levels to prevent discrepancies.
• Taxation & Compliance (India context):
  • Handle GST compliance, including filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and reconciling input tax credit (ITC).
  • Manage TDS deduction, deposit, and filing of returns.
  • Ensure compliance with EPF, ESI, and other labor laws.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments and follow up on outstanding client payments (Debtor/Creditor aging).
• Bank & Cash Management: Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• Financial Reporting (MIS): Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) to assist management in decision-making.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with statutory auditors and tax consultants. 
   

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (b.com). A MBA in Finance or CMA (ICWAI) is preferred.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing unit is required.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and MS Excel.
• Key Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Detail-oriented with high analytical accuracy.
  • Excellent understanding of GST and TDS laws.
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines. 
     

• Someone with experience in industrial manufacturing (specifically steel or panel manufacturing) who understands the difference between direct and indirect overheads.
• Someone who can analyze production wastage and suggest cost-saving measures. 

• Full-time, on-site role (Factory Office).

1. Accuracy of Inventory Valuation.
2. Timely Filing of Statutory Returns (GST/TDS).
3. Variance Analysis report accuracy.
